As its name suggests, the main functionality of Free EPUB Reader is to let you open and read EPUB e-books. This is a neat and easy-to-use application that can be used without any problem by anyone, even by complete beginners. Free EPUB Reader sticks to what its name says and doesn’t support opening other e-book formats than EPUB. So if you have e-books in formats like PDF or AZW, you will have to convert them to EPUB before being able to read them using this application. Free EPUB Reader also lacks any advanced options and additional features. It only lets you browse the chapters of the loaded e-book and zoom the pages in or out. On its official webpage, the description for this program mentions that it should be capable of converting EPUB e-books into PDF, but I couldn’t find this function anywhere when actually testing this tool. Furthermore, its installer comes packed with numerous offers to install unneeded additional apps on your system (adware-like behavior), so you should pay a lot of attention when you install this tool. Anyway, despite its bits of false advertising and its troubling installation, Free EPUB Reader is a decent little tool that provides a neat and convenient solution to open and read EPUB e-books.
