Flatiron plug-in for 3D Studio MAX (single-seat license) Description

What is Flatiron? Flatiron is a four steps Render To Texture plug-in which is capable of baking full scenes or selections of objects into a single UV Map. Flatiron is based on our Unwrella high quality automated unwrapping technology. It is a fast, simple and yet completely configurable automatic unwrapping and baking solution which totally automates and hence greatly speeds up the process of baking complex scenes. Flatiron Workflow We made it as simple as possible: One click to automatically unwrap selected objects Select what you want to bake (e.g. Ambient Occlusion, Global Illumination, Light Map or other) Select target texture map slot you want the resulting baked texture to be placed into Press BAKE to get the resulting baked image Flatiron benefits - Simply explained! Flatrion is a scene baking utility, operating as a plug-in for 3ds Max. A tool easy to explain and even easier to use. Simply put: Flatiron takes selected objects from your scene, packs them together in the most optimal way into 1 UV map and renders it as a bake element of your choice: light map, diffuse map, global illumination map, normal map, shadow map etc. What is the major difference between Flatiron and standard 3DSMax Tools? Time efficiency and packing quality. It is impossible to manage large object sets manually and it is frustratingly time consuming to recalculate everything each time you make even the smallest change on the scene. Take, for example, a 3D Game level, architectural complex or a scenery with dozens or even hundreds of objects. If you try to create optimal light maps for them, nicely distributed and packed into a single UV map, you will see how long this journey can sometimes take. Now imagine you can select all objects, trigger automatic unwrap, press BAKE and get optimal results for just about any kind of 3D scene you are working on. That's what Flatiron does.
