FilesCollection Description

FilesCollection makes use of an Explorer-like interface to let you index the all fixed, removable media, and network drives on your system and archives on them for further faster, full and convenient search without necessity to insert discs again into the drive. FilesCollection includes a search module which enables the user to find files using a name (with wildcards), to search in descriptions or archives. Also it can import descriptions from files like "readme.txt", "file_id.diz","files.bbs", "descript.ion" etc. FilesCollection doesn't use any database engines and so very fast. Index files generated by FilesCollection are very compact. Main features: Indexes volumes, folders and files Add comment to each file or folder Analyse ZIP archives Extract descriptions from WAV and MP3 files (ID3 tags) Export indexes to a comma-separated text files (.CSV)
