FileLocator Remote Description

FileLocator Remote is an application offers users the possibility to search for certain files over the network. Search processing can be efficiently distributed across the network or centrally performed depending on administrative constraints. Main features: Distributed Searching Search processing is handled by the client computers thereby distributing the CPU work load across the network. Reduced Network Activity Since the client computers do the actual searching there is no need to send searchable data across the network, only the found results. Enhanced Security Initial communication with the client computers is signed using RSA 1024 bit PKCS to establish authenticity and also to exchange private keys. All subsequent communication is encrypted using the Advanced Encryption Standard (AES).
