Fieldrunners 2 is the sequel to the very popular 2008 game Fieldrunners. It is one of the most popular tower defense games, and, in my opinion, one of the best. I remember that when I first played it, I thought it couldn't possibly be better than the first game, but I was wrong. This game is as complete, challenging, well designed and fun as any tower-defense game can get. For those of you who have never played this kind of game, let me briefly explain what they are about. Your objective is to prevent waves of enemies from reaching a point on the map. You are given different types of towers to stop them. Some of those simply shoot at enemies, while other electrocute them, or freeze them in their position. The game gets harder because enemies are tougher every wave and the weapons have less effects on them. Subatomic Studios did a great job with Fieldrunners 2. Making a sequel to one of the most popular games in the genre couldn't have been an easy feat. There are many things that contribute to this game's success. One of them is the fact that a lot of things were added to the game, not only new enemies and towers. The AI is one of the aspects of the game that was improved. Enemies are now smarter and they will not just sit there waiting for you to kill them. They will move to safer paths at times, for example.
