ExtraRenamer Description

ExtraRenamer is a simple-to-use application which allows you to seamlessly rename your files in batch mode. The interface of the software is clean and intuitive. You can use the Explorer-based layout to locate and access files. But you can also sort files according to their type (e.g. pictures, audio, videos). Once you have selected files for processing, you can check out their original and new name, path, type and date of modification. So, you can append text or insert it at a specific position, add a date and counter, as well as remove alphabets, spaces, special characters, number and brackets. Additionally, you can replace text and remove the one at a given position, change the case, enable case sensitive mode, as well as change file extensions and edit MP3 tags (e.g. title, artist, album). On top of that, you can use the undo function, copy renamed files, save as a CSV or M3U file, create and save a new rename preset, launch Explorer, map the network drive, and more. The straightforward program takes up a low-to-moderate amount of system resources, contains a well-drawn user documentation with snapshots for beginners, has a very good response time and didn't freeze, crash or pop up errors during our tests. Unfortunately, you cannot configure any settings related to the program. For example, you cannot enable ExtraRenamer to automatically run at system startup or to exit the program when all tasks are completed. Nevertheless, we strongly recommend this tool to all users.
