Editor's review: This is a utility that helps recover corrupted database (EDB) files of MS Exchange. This software tool recovers emails from corrupt Exchange databases EDB and STM files. Besides the recovery capability of the tool, this tool is able to convert the recovered data into PST file format. The Outlook program then can easily read the recovered mails. The tool will recover EDB databases completely. It does so by resolving Exchange dirty shutdown situations thereby meeting Exchange clean shutdown states. The program does Exchange database recovery after scanning and repairing the corrupt EDB file and extracting all mailboxes from the database file. The Exchange server kernel then saves the recovered emails in newly created PST files. An administrator can verify the state of recovery by looking at the verify.bat. There are three recovery modes of the program. These include automatic analyze and repair, advanced scan and rebuild corrupt database. The first one would be the quickest possible mode of recovery. The advanced scan mode scans the EDB database recursively to recover the data and save the recovered data in PST file format. This is the most thorough recovery attempt possible with the program. The rebuild mode lets you rebuild the EDB database and restore data in newly created EDB file. The newly created EDB file then could be used by the Exchange Server. The program is able to restore formatting of emails and the setting option lets you customize the process. The tool is compatible with MS Exchange Server 5.0, 5.5, 2000, 2003 2007 and 2010.
