ExcelSQL Description

An add-in for Microsoft Excel. It can be used to fetch data from different SQL databases into Microsoft Excel. SQL queries are entered as cell comments in Excel. ExcelSQL features The above example discribes the very basic functionality of ExcelSQL. In addition, ExcelSQL has the following advanced features: Possibility to use references in cell comments. This way SQL Statements can contain variables from other parts of the Excel sheet. Possibility to return formulas, cell comments and line breaks from SQL queries. Possibility to return columns as rows, and rows as columns (transpose of the data). Possibility to group data returned from the database, and to create crosstab-type of output. Easy-to-use editor for editing the ExcelSQL queries in cell comments.
