ErrorSmart Description

ErrorSmart is a comprehensive diagnosis tool to locate and solve any of the problems that may make your system slow down and/or work less efficiently. Its error-correction technology covers almost all possibilities – from registry errors to faulty uninstallation processes, unorganized startup programs, duplicate or invalid files, spyware and viruses. The program performs a thorough scan of your drives in just a few minutes, and offers you a full diagnose of all the troubles that make your computer freeze or work much slower than normally. Depending on the errors found, ErrorSmart claims to be capable of increasing your PC performance by an amazing 70 percent, though you will be asked to register to have the opportunity of challenging the program. One of the utilities the program offers deals with the detection of spyware, malware, and other viruses that may threaten and even paralyze your system. However, various sites accuse ErrorSmart of being a scam itself, distributed by trojans in some instances. Among other “accusations”, ErrorSmart is said to change your default browser’s settings, to be a source of unwanted ads, to hide from the user and to keep working in the background inadvertently. Some virus-removal tools have included ErrorSmart as one of their targets, and some sites will give you advice on how to effectively remove the program from your system, which typically involves killing the process manually, deleting the corresponding registry entry, and getting rid of certain files and folders also manually, as they stay there after the program has been automatically uninstalled by your OS. During and after my testing of the program, I cannot say that I came across any suspicious behavior, but it is true that some of the caveats about files and processes remaining after unistallation are absolutely true. ErrorSmart.exe was still running in my system even after the program had been uninstalled and removed from my hard drive, and the registry entry was also still there, forcing me to fix those inconsistencies manually. I checked my drive for other related files - and even for viruses – but nothing suspicious was found. Therefore, I find it hard to recommend ErrorSmart as a reliable problem-solving tool it claims to be, as there are too many suspicious behaviors in the way it is installed and uninstalled. Besides, without registering and paying for it, the program will merely scan your system looking for potential threats (that you may or may not believe), so not being a free tool I cannot see any advantage in downloading and installing an application that has proved to be more threatening than reassuring.
