Elementary Calc is a calculator for Elementary School aged children typically 1st through 4th grade. As you can see by the screen shot when a mathematical equation is punched in on Elementary Calc the entire equation stays on the screen so that the child may examine the equation from beginning to end. Although Elementary Calc is not a teaching program by itself with supervision it can be a very powerful teaching tool for learning basic arithmetic skills in a manner that is fun and familiar. For instance with most calculators if you punch in an equation of say 52 divided by 5 you get an answer of 10.4, however with Elementary Calc you get an answer of "10 R2" or 10 with a remainder of 2, the same answer that is expected of elementary school students by their teachers. Also Elementary Calc can be and has been used by children to quiz themselves and sharpen their math skills on their own. Because of the fact that the entire mathematical equation is visible on the screen the size of the equation is limited to six numbers.
