DoSHTTP Description

Especially designed for IT professionals, DoSHTTP is a powerful, yet easy to use application that can simulate a DDoS attack in order to evaluate the performance of web servers. The program can perform a HTTP Flood by using multiple asynchronous sockets. Up to 15,000 connections are supported, but a maximum number of 1,000 sockets if often enough to run the tests, as using too many sockets might result in Internet disconnections. Additionally, users can set the number of requests to be sent to the selected web server. The user agent is a browser or other application that accesses the target webpage and helps running the HTTP Flood. The software comes with a predefined user agent list, but customized user agent header fields are also available. DoSHTTP features URL verification, allowing you to view the server type, the content type, together with a complete report regarding the server response. The results of the Flood test is displayed in a separate window, where you can view a full test report, which includes the test duration, the number of issued requests and received responses, as well as the requests rate. Optionally, the user can activate HTTP redirection, which means that the application can redirect the attack to a new URL when a certain status code is returned (for instance, 300, which indicates that the requested resource has moved). DoSHTTP can also be used by multiple clients in order to simulate a Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) Attack. Created with ease of use in mind, DoSHTTP comes in handy for testing web servers and their response to a HTTP Flood Denial of Service attack.
