Dan Dare Screen Saver With Music Description

Edit By A Dan Dare picture slide-show with optional background music The images used in the Dan Dare Screen Saver were taken from my www.dan-dare.org and www.dan-dare.net websites, with some resizing here and there to ensure that the screen saver works properly with 640 x 480, 800 x 600 and 1024 x 768 pixel screen sizes. The background music (a remix by Rafael Dyll of the music from the 1990 Commodore 64 computer game "Dan Dare III - The Escape") can be turned on and off as you wish, via the Screen Saver Settings in Windows Desktop Properties. To access this, right-click on an empty part of your Windows desktop and select Properties. Select the Screen Saver tab, and you should see that the Dan Dare Screen Saver is set as your current one (if it isn't, you can Select It from the pull-down list). Select Settings and then click on the check-box next to Play Background Music - a tick in the check-box means the music will play when the screen saver runs. You can also change other options that affect the behaviour of the Dan Dare Screen Saver while in the Settings window. Click on OK to save your changes. Please Note: If the background music keeps pausing/stuttering while playing (for example, during an image transition a large amount of CPU Capacity is required, and if you have an older computer there may not be enough capacity left over to continuously play the music as well), try reducing the Effect Speed down to 1 second via the Settings window as described above.
