DVDKrap Description

The DVDKrap application was designed to be a program for sorting lots of files in 4.7GB (4.3 GiB) DVD disks. If you have many downloads, especially small files such as source code archives, images, video clips, sound files, etc which you want to write in several DVD disks, DVDKrap will do the job for you. What DVDKrap actually does is to find which files fit better in the DVD set required to burn the specified files, so you can burn the less possible disk. Each part of the set that DVDKrap provides, is tightly filled with your files. This is very similar to using DVDKrap in Linux, but with some differences. First of all, you should copy the dvdkrap.exe to the folder where you want to create the dvd set and secondly, since Windows do not support symbolic links, DVDKrap will copy the files themselves instead. This is much slower than creating symbolic links and it will take a lot of space (exactly as much as your files are, since it will create duplicates of them). That's unfortunate, bad, etc, but i can do nothing. The OS simply doesn't support symlinks. Also note that the program may not be that stable under Windows. Nothing special, just check for error messages before burning and deleted the files and if the program crashes.
