Editor's review: This is a software utility that helps create backup DVDs or to just write them. DVDFab DVD Copy for Mac is the most powerful and flexible DVD copying/burning software which can copy and backup any DVD to DVDR or hard drive with just a few clicks. The tool comes with eight different modes of copying a DVD and creating a personalized copy of it. These are the Full Disc, Main Movie, Split, Customize, Customize Split, Clone, Merge and Write Data modes. The main movie mode lets you copy just the main movie; all the bonus and other promotional material can be left out easily. In the split mode you are able to copy a DVD-9 to two DVD-5 discs and preserve original menus on both discs. Customize option will let you create a DVD with your favorite titles to be played back in your chosen order. You may keep the original menu or discard them altogether. Customise split will let you split the content in to two disks; the parts to be copied into two could be according to your choice. The cloning mode creates an exact copy and merging will combine several clips into one DVD. The write data mode is for burning existing DVD folder / ISO image file to DVD writer, or convert DVD folder to ISO image file. Like most converters this too has the feature of choosing an audio track or the sub-title track. The utility is able to remove protection schemes like CSS, CPPM, RC, RCE, APS, UOPs, ARccOS, RipGuard, FluxDVD, CORE X2, etc. The preview player will give you a real feedback on how the output would look like eventually.
