DOSPrint Description

DOS programs can have problems when printing to newer printer types. These are mainly devices designed only for Windows operating system, multifunction devices, printers connected via USB port or printers not containing right code page. In many cases, printing from DOS may also complicate the sequencing of jobs to a print queue, which can lead to premature termination or garbling of print or to collapse of print job manager.DOSprint allows you to print from DOS into all types of printers including USB, network and virtual printers.You can use DOSPrint in three modes: 1) DOSPrint captures the LPT1 output port and automatically performs printing on the specified Windows printer. 2) DOS application saves the output report to a file in a selected directory. DOSPrint retrieves the file, converts it and prints it out. 3) DOS application runs the program PRINTFILE after each printing.Supported codepages: 437 Latin US, 737 Greek, 850 Latin I, 852 Latin II, 865 Nordic, 866 Cyrilic CIS 1, 895 Czech Kamenik, 991 Mazovia, 1250 Windows Latin II.Other properties that might interest you: - supporting of various control commands for the printer - automatic adjustment of font size according to the longest line in the document - printing to PDF.
