Using DBSurveyor we found that one of our upgrade scripts was not run in production. DBSurveyor can show you the changes in a matter of seconds. Using DBSurveyor’s Snapshot features you can easily identify what changes have been made. DBSurveyor’s reporting features allow you to quickly document your database in HTML. Ensure your development, test, and production database integrity by identifying any differences in database objects. Features Compare Databases DBSurveyor allows you to compare objects from two SQL Server databases. Filters allow you to select which objects to compare. The comparison results can be stored in the Comparison Results Catalog for future reference and reporting. Database Snapshots Using DBSurveyor you can create Snapshots of your SQL Server databases. Snapshots allow you to create a point-in-time record of what objects the database contained. Snapshots can be compared against a database or another Snapshot. This allows you to compare the objects Currently in your database against a Snapshot you took of the same database a month ago. Snapshots can be stored in the Snapshot Catalog for future use and reporting. Wizards DBSurveyor uses Wizards to allow you to easily create snapshots and compare databases. The Wizards step you through the process making it a breeze get the information you need. Reporting The DBSurveyor reporting functions allow you to document the objects in your database. The reports can be printed or saved as HTML allowing you to publish them to your website. Reports can also be run against Database Snapshots allowing you to create a historical record of the database. You can create reports against Database Comparison Results allowing for documentation of changes over time.
