DB Explorer Pluz Description

DB Explorer Pluz is a small tool developed to be used in conjunction with SQL Explorer and has some few extra functionalties not found in that tool. You can export the data of your table to another table to the same database, to another database and to a table in a directory. You can also save the data of your table into a new table. When exporting the data to a table that exists, you can match field names to export. For instance, your origin table has a field named 'CUSTOMER_NAME' and your destination table has a field named 'NAME', you just drag-n-drop the origin field over the destination field to make the match. You can also save only some fields of your data into a new table. Just select the fields you want and export your data to a new table. The data filtering is basicly the same as SQL Explorer. The diference is that DB Explorer Pluz shows the filter above the grid where your data is shown and you can write any SQL sentence including like and between commands. You can also export the range of data that you just filtered. You can change the ordering of your data using a special dialog box, where you can choose the fields to apply the ordering. Just click on the right button of your mouse in the grid to open the dialog box and choose the fields to order. If your database has many tables and your tables has many fields, DB Explorer Pluz allows you to search for then in the Treeview. You can edit your data like you do in SQL Explorer, including open a transaction and commit or rollback the modifications you do. The only difference here is that we use a TQuery Component with Request Live True to open your table. I remember we had problems where all the database was locked when someone was editing a table in a MS-SQL Server database using SQL Explorer. Now you can run your complex select statements and then save the results into a new table your any database for future printing or anything your wish. Just select the alias in the treeview and click in the button "Save Results" in the toolbar. When writing SQL statements, you can click on the field or table name to add it´s name to the SQL editor. No more typing that long field names in your queries. Get DB Explorer Pluz and give it a try to fully assess its capabilities! NOTE: Freeware for non-commercial use only. Main features: Data Export Data Filtering Data Ordering Search for a string in the TreeView Data edition with transaction support Runs SQL statements and save the results to any database Simple but useful Query Builder.
