Users view MPEG coded video and have full management of the program through network that security workstation can be operated with no monitor, keyboard, and mouse attached. Program`s modular composition drastically boosts reliability because all parts work as independent applications. If one component fails, other components go on running. For example if the `capture` component stops working, `watchdog` starts over it right away that users don`t notice anything because they are watching picture through a `playback` component. The software makes `repeated` recording that the `hard drive full` situation never happens. The recording can be non-stop or it can be turned on by motion, human face recognition, or by timetable. The software has pre-alarm and post-alarm recording. Playing back recorded video is pretty easy and performs on the surveillance computer as well as on distant station through Web interface. The program performs synchronized video playback for event examination from multiple cameras at the same time. Also recorded information can be searched by date, time or by face detected. All recorded information can be encrypted and password protected.
