Convertilla Description

video prev next The growing range of devices that we use to enjoy our media makes it necessary to count with a fast and straightforward conversion tool. Convertilla has been designed to perform quick and no-nonsense video conversion and audio extraction tasks that allow us to move our video and audio content between the most common formats and devices without the need of being experts in media transcoding. Formats like MP4, MKV, AVI, WMV, 3GP, or MPEG are fully supported, as well as the most widely used lossless and lossy audio codecs, such as MP3, WAV, APE, FLAC, or AAC. The overall conversion process cannot be simpler – just select a source video file, an output profile (either from the format or the “gadget” list), select an output video size and the desired level of quality and launch the re-encoding process by clicking on the “Convert” button. The app’s extreme simplicity of use and its tiny one-window interface guarantees that anyone can enjoy its straightforward functionality. This same simplicity, however, prevents you from applying more sophisticated and precise settings to the conversion process in terms of bit rate, sample rate, frames per second, etc. Likewise, its lack of batch conversion capabilities somehow detracts from the program’s claim of “convenience”, as working on a one-by-one basis is not really that convenient for home users who, for instance, wish to enjoy the latest entire season of their favorite TV series on their mobile device. At least, Convertilla is a free video conversion and audio extraction tool, which makes it the more difficult to be too hard on its limitations. It would be desirable that its developers could add some more specific settings to the transcoding processes, as well as the possibility of processing more than one video file at a time in future releases of the app. In the meantime, nothing prevents you from downloading, installing, and testing this extremely simple tool and see if it fits with your favorite mobile devices, game consoles, and smart phones.
