ColorSkate Description

ColorSkate is a professional color matching and color picking application. Color picker and color harmonizer tool with eleven harmonious color matches for each selected color, unlimited color schemes to save favorite colors, built-in browser for webpage capture/ color sampling, desktop capture and sampling, photo sampling, web-safe and web-smart palettes, web page preview, colorspace information for each color (RGB, HSL, CMY, CMYK, YCbCr, YUV, XYZ, Lab), easy color adjust, clipboard copying to seven formats, and a very well-designed user interface with skins. Main features: Color Capture: capture a single color or a sequence of colors from the Desktop with the Screen Color Picker capture any number of colors from any image file with the Photo Analyzer - either automatically (computer makes random choices) or by manually clicking on the pixels of interest choose from either of two WebSafe color swatches (216 color) choose any of the 16 million colors available in the Windows Color Dialog Color Harmonization: For each main color selected in ColorSkate, 11 harmonious color complements are displayed as a Color Wheel, including Analagous, Complements, Split-Complements and Triad colors. Unlimited Favorites Color Schemes: Colors can be added to a Color Scheme. Each Scheme can hold up to 1000 colors, and ColorSkate supports an unlimited number of Schemes. WebSafe and WebSmart: With a click of a button, any color can be immediately rendered WebSmart (one of 4096 colors) or WebSafe (one of 216 colors). Color Adjustment: The "Adjust" panel in ColorSkate allows complete control over RGB (Red, Green and Blue) or SL (Saturation and Luminance) values. As well, two sets of buttons beside the Color Wheel provide a quick way to increase or decrease Saturation and Luminance in 5% steps. WebPage Preview: The look of a webpage can be previewed using the colors of your choice, which can be easily dragged and dropped from your favorite Color Schemes. The example webpage has 5 separate sections for header, main menu, sidebar, body and footer. For each, the color can be solid or a gradient fill (horizontal or vertical). Color Reporting: The colors in any Color Scheme, the Color Wheel, the WebPage Preview, and the Image Analyzer can all be viewed, saved and printed as QuickReport files. As well, the colors of any Color Scheme can be exported to HTML, BMP or GIF files.
