If you have a field in the web form that needs a color to be picked you can let this pop window help the visitor. He/she can just click on the color chosen rather than trying to figure out the color value. You can choose from six different color pickers available with the publisher. Each is a easy to manage, install and set up JS color picker input controls. You would be able to attach these color pickers to any number4 of form HTML fields. It supports all the Java script enabled browsers. You can choose from the DHTML version or the popup versions. But the trade off are some older browsers do not support DHTMl well, while a pop up may get blocked. While a DHTML layer cannot be moved a pop up window can be moved around the screen. A pop up window can take longer to load and needs an extra file. The package comes with easy to understand tutorials, sample code, and documentation. Dynamic Hypertext Markup Language (DHTML) scripts are a combination of CSS and a some JavaScript. The color picker selection "window" is actually JavaScript driven HTML code placed within a DIV element. At first, this DIV element is not displayed within the browser. When the JavaScript function is triggered, usually by an "onclick" statement, the DIV element becomes visible & display properties are set to be visible. A Color Picker Selection window "PopUps" or becomes "layered" above the current browser window. Overall: A very simple and handy application. It has a very specific niche application but works well.
