Close Approach Description

Close Approach is a true 3D, first-person shooter, space-combat action game, where you must destroy the asteroids before they reach the Earth. The fate of the Earth is in your hands, the year is 2100, and mankind has never felt more threatened. With space travel available to the masses, religious extremists are plotting to divert asteroids into the path of the Earth. Only you can stop them, by piloting the latest flying-saucer omni-directional spacecraft, you must blast the asteroids into cosmic dust, before they collide with Mother Earth. The application features a full 3D-accelerated engine, first-person from-the-cockpit views, fractal-generated asteroids, enemy ships, power-ups, translucent explosions, and most of all--fun gameplay.
