Call Trace Description

Call Trace is a user-friendly and efficient software utility designed to work as a caller ID application for your computer. The tool is TAPI compliant, which means that it can easily share COM ports with other programs on your PC. Upon installation, Call Trace requires that you input your location details, specifically your country, area code and telephone service provider, in order to be able to function properly. The main function of Call Trace is the ability to log your incoming calls, providing you with a report of every received call. Furthermore, the information can go as far back as 180 days, enabling you to display all calls in that time frame. In addition, Call Trace offers a 'Phone book' component, thus helping you better manage your contacts. You can set a different ringtone for when each one calls, so you know, even before looking, who is trying to call you. Also, you can set Call Trace to run a specific program right when a person in your contact list is calling. Call Trace offers native support for several modems, namely AgileVPN, SSTP, PPTP, WAN Miniport (L2TP) and RAS PPPOE Line. Yet, it also allows you to enter additional modems, as well as telephony providers. The logged calls can easily be exported, manually or automatically, to a TXT or HTML format, that you can later analyze or simply store on your computer. Call Trace allows you to display a pop-up window every time someone is calling you, in a user-defined position on your desktop, so as not to interfere with other activities you might be performing. Call Trace is an easy to use and reliable solution for monitoring incoming calls and displaying the calling number, enabling you to always know who is contacting you, a feature particularly useful when you do no want to talk to them.
