BzReader Description
BzReader is a simple software application that provides users with a simple means of browsing and reading Wikipedia articles, without accessing a web browser or even being online. Clear-cut environment The installation process does not take very long and does not pose any kind of issues, while the interface you come across can only be described as plain and simple. It is comprised of a menu bar, a few buttons and two panes in which to display the available information. Although there are no Help contents incorporated, this tool can be used with ease by both beginners and highly experienced people, mostly due to its minimalistic interface. Other options at your disposal This utility enables you to easily open compressed dump files from Wikipedia, as long as they come in an XML or BZ2 file format. These can only be uploaded with the help of a file browser, as the “drag and drop” feature is not available. Aside from that, you should know it is possible to use an incorporated search feature with ease, as well as go back or forward with the help of the built-in buttons. You can enable a right-to-left text flow and view the selected information in the main window with ease. No other notable options are incorporated. Bottom line To conclude, BzReader is a pretty efficient piece of software for viewing Wikipedia data even when offline. The interface is friendly to all users, the computer’s performance is not going to be affected and we did not come across any errors or hangs.
