The installation procedure takes little time to finish and does not need special attention for configuration. The program's interface is represented by a regular window with a clean aspect, where you can select the target drive from a drop-down list and initialize the scanning operation with the click of a button. In addition, you can ask Broken Shortcut Fixer to ignore remote shortcuts. The list of results shows all broken shortcuts found on the selected drive. Double-clicking an entry brings up its location in the default file manager. It is possible to delete one or more selected items from the list. This task is carried out in no time, after which you can exit the application or perform a new scan. There are no other options provided by the application. Broken Shortcut Fixer has a good response time and runs on a very low amount of CPU and RAM. No error dialogs popped up in our tests, and the app did not hang or crash. We have not come across any issues throughout our evaluation. All in all, Broken Shortcut Fixer offers a simple solution when it comes to automatically locating broken shortcuts to delete them, in order to declutter the hard drive.
