Boot Deleter Description

Boot Deleter is a lightweight Windows utility developed to delete user-defined files when the operating system is restarted. Especially useful in case you’re trying to deal with locked files, Boot Deleter can place an entry in the Windows Context Menu and thus allow you to remove files via a simple right-click. There are no configuration options, which can only be good news for rookies who don’t want to spend too much time with the app, but disappointing for professional users who wish to control every single part of the program. Administrator privileges are required on Windows 7 workstations in order to integrate the new option in the Context Menu and delete files on the go. If shell integration isn’t exactly your cup of tea, Boot Deleter also allows users to select files for removal by simply dragging and dropping them on the app’s executable icon. As you can see, everything is pretty simple and only basic technical knowledge is needed, which means that the lack of a help section shouldn’t get you too much trouble. The application works smoothly on all Windows versions and doesn’t hamper system performance in any way, but keep in mind that administrator privileges are needed for Context Menu integration. All things considered, Boot Deleter is an app that lends you a hand when trying to delete locked items, providing just a few simple methods to get rid of these files with minimum effort.
