Editor's review: Ever since their introduction during the initial days of the video-gaming industry, arcade games have always dominated the charts. Such is the popularity of these games that publishers could never undermine the importance of these games now we have a large number of high end games and a substantial market for them and their platforms. Undoubtedly, the role of the first stepping stones in the video gaming arena, which still occupy a prominent place among their fans, can not be overlooked. Due to this, a number of such games have been re-developed for modern gaming platforms and Blaster Master 2 v.1.0 is a perfect example of this scenario. Blaster Master 2 v.1.0 is a freeware game developed exactly on the lines of Blaster Master game which was originally introduced for SEGA Genesis game consoles. The game has a side-view visual setup and the graphics have been carefully designed to match its theme. On the lower left hand corner of the screen, you can see a clearly visible energy bar and the number of remaining lives are displayed on the right hand side. Like many other games of this genre, this one also comes with a story mode and a goal, which in this one is to fight against the plutonium boss whom you will encounter at the end. Before that, you will find a number of underground warlords who will try to destroy you and end your journey towards the plutonium. The player will control a character named Jason, who is the main heroic icon of the game, and drives his mobile assault unit for the combat against enemies. Overall, Blaster Master 2 v.1.0 is a game which is certain to entertain any hardcore shooting game enthusiast, leading it to score three and a half rating points on the scale of five.
