BitMeter OS for Linux Description

BitMeterOS will be available for a number of different operating systems including Windows, Linux and Mac OSX. Architecturally this new version of BitMeter is very different to the older BitMeter 2, the main differences are: * No dependency on the .NET Framework, the core components of BitMeter OS are written in C * Much smaller footprint - it uses less memory, requires less CPU time, and the executable files are smaller * Bandwidth usage stored in a SQLite database * Bandwidth usage logged using a Windows Service, or a daemon process on Linux/OSX - this means that logging begins as soon as your system starts up, and continues even if no-one is logged in. * Command-line interface - the core data Capture component, and command-line client, can be run on servers where no GUI is available Early beta-versions of the Data Capture component (which logs your bandwidth usage in a database) and the Command Line Client (which lets you monitor your usage and query the database) are available for testing, please let me have feedback including bug reports. Graphical clients, Similar to the one used in BitMeter 2, will be developed later once the core components have been thoroughly tested.
