BitDrop Description

The BitDrop was designed to be very, very simple VirtualDub filter. It allows you reduce the perceived bit-depth of a clip. Did I say it was simple? You can actually force any bit to a 1 or a 0 to give what I describe as "early 1970's video effects look". One thing to remember VirtualDub and/or your screen display bit depth might be set to 16bit, which I think means each RGB value is probably being displayed as either the 5 MSB bits or the 8 bit values stretched to 5 bits
