The program has a simple interface and a clean layout, so figuring out what everything does isn’t that difficult. As the name suggests, the calculator is truly big, covering the entire screen. Plus, the only mode in which this can be displayed is full screen. Aside from the digits, the calculator also sports several buttons for various functions, such as addition, subtraction, multiplication or division, as well as square root. Furthermore, you can half the sum or find out a particular percentage out of it. It’s also possible to clear the entire entry or to go back one step at a time. The way the frame looks can be modified as well. The upper field may be colored to one of the available hues, namely yellow, blue, cyan, green, magenta, red or white. Also, every time you type in a number or perform an action with the calculator, a voice can be heard. By default, this is set to English, but there are several other languages supported by the app, such as Spanish, Italian, French, German, Dutch and many more. Furthermore, you may choose if you display separators or not. Commas and periods are interchanged as separators and decimal point, depending on the language you selected. All in all, The Big Simple Talking Calculator is a nice tool that can be fun to handle.
