Behavioral Monitoring Tool Description
The Behavioral Monitoring Tool is an application used to record and analyze behavioral experiments in neuroscience. The software is planned to perform three types of experiments (open field - water maze - forced swimming). The Open Field Module is currently supported. Main features: For Researchers: captures: moving rat's position rat's rearing count exports statistical data to an Excel sheet save/load experiment to/from file zone editor: add/modify/remove zones snapping to shapes (to easily move / position shapes) setting the real to image scale (to accurately calculated the distance in cm) records and saves the experiment as a video file For Developers: flexible object oriented architecture, for enhancing extensibility and maintainability nearly all components can be extended, for example: video filters statistics modules GUI supported video libraries: AGCamLib OpenCV Java Media Framework JMyron V4L2 additional video libraries can be easily integrated (statically) zone editor: supports rectangular and oval shapes, with the ability to add more shapes (statically
