Back4Sure Description

Back4Sure will help you back up your files. It will work by configuring backup jobs, in which you can specify all the necessary parameters. These jobs may be saved for future use which will facilitate the process of frequent backups of the same data. Using this application may be somewhat complex for the inexperienced user; however, I do not think someone with reasonable expertise will find any difficulty to operate this utility. A panel on the left will show a tree-like folder structure containing all the data on your drives. Every element will have a checkbox that you can select if you want to include it in the backup. In this regard, you will be able to select items, even when they are not on the same drive. After this, you will have to select the backup target by setting a target drive and directory. You can also select filters, such as type of files and file date in case you need to copy only specific files. Another feature is the use of optional built-in compression. Since Back4Sure does not use any specific archive format, the resulting files can be opened by any compression utility capable of opening Zip or 7Zip files, which means that you will not need Back4Sure to retrieve your data. It is also capable of synchronizing the original data with its copies, by allowing differential backups that include only those files that have been modified, as well as cleanups to remove orphan files in the target directory. In general, Back4Sure is a useful, light and free application. It can even be run from a flash disk as a portable program.
