Alay Generator Description

Alay Generator is a fun software utility designed to convert text into the so-called Alay language, which is basically a method of codifying letters into numbers and symbols. This was once a widespread method of taslking with friends on various chat services, sending "crypted" messages and assigning interesting and (sometimes) unique aliases. No installation requiredThere is no setup pack involved, which makes Alay Generator portable. It means that you can save the program files in any part of the hard disk and click the executable to immediately launch the tool. An alternative option is to save a copy of the app to a removable storage unit (like a USB flash disk) to be able to use it on any PC directly and without previous installers. Worth mentioning is that Alay Generator does not modify Windows registry settings or create extra files on the disk, so it does not leave any traces behind once it is removed. Minimalistic interface with straightforward optionsThe GUI is as simple as it can get. A classical window which resembles the Windows Notepad enables you to type or paste text, and it holds exactly two buttons: for translating it and for viewing product information. The newly converted text is shown in the same window, right below the source material; if the letters are not supported for translation, they remain unchanged. The entire translation is performed instantly. Although Alay Generator does not implement options for exporting the text to file, printing it or copying it to the Clipboard, the latter option can be achieved by making a text selection and using the global hotkey or opening the right-click menu. Evaluation and conclusion As expected, the program has minimal impact on system performance, as it uses low CPU and RAM. We have not come across any issues in our tests, since it did not hang, crash or pop up error messages. In conclusion, Alay Generator may not be the most practical software application out there, but it provides a means of entertainment when it comes to sending "secret" messages online.
