Adventures of Kid Kleets / Soccer Kid Description

Editor's review: Soccer happens to be one of the most popular sports throughout the world with a massive fan following in Latin American countries, Africa, Europe, and Asia. The enormous popularity enjoyed by the sport eventually inspired multiple big brands in the global gaming arena including the likes of EA Sports, to come up with soccer games for various platforms. Needless to say, most of those games have already proved to be massive success amongst fan boys from all over the world. However, all these games are basically belong to the “Sports game” genre, with players competing against artificial intelligence, or human players in a virtual soccer stadium. But breaking out of this traditional approach, Game Guerrilla dished out its own innovative offering dubbed - Adventures of Kid Kleets, also referred to as Soccer Kid 1.0. The history of Adventures of Kid Kleets goes way back in time - to 1994 to be precise when it was first launched for 3DO Interactive Multiplayer, Super NES as well as Amiga. The game, since then have undergone many makeovers, and was subsequently released for various platforms. Though the game takes heavy inspiration from Soccer, it is actually more of a platform game wherein you need to guide young soccer player through multiple phases - the soccer ball being his primary tool and weapon. Commonly known by the name Soccer Kid, the main character in the game can run pretty fast, and is a pro when it comes to essential soccer skills such as shots, bicycle kicks, headers etc. Being his primary weapon against all odds, Soccer Kid needs to use the ball in every possible way to tackle his enemies and get passed unharmed. Overall, a nice and entertaining game for players from all age groups. Hence it receives a score of four rating points on the scale of five. Publisher's description:
