Advanced OCR Free helps you view PDF files and automate the transformation of image-based content into editable, searchable PDF files. The PDF content then can be accessed for business processes more easily. Advanced OCR Free lets you export a scanned PDF or image file like a document, invoice, book or anything else to TXT or Microsoft Word. The conversion rate is high so that most of the text gets converted accurately. However, some characters are going to need editing and manual corrections. Also, keep in mind that the accuracy achieved will depend a lot on the condition of the scanned/image pages and to the font used to some extent. This program comes with a built in text editor for the taking care of the error. This is a standalone program and there is no need for any other program, not even the Acrobat. The interface is simple with two side by side display areas that show the original image page and the converted page. The controls are intuitive and most users will find it easy to learn and operate. The program also contains a PDF reader that will let you open, view and print any PDF document. Document properties and metadata can be added to the PDF document, if you want. Viewing layout could be changed. The biggest feature is that it is available for free and is free of malware. This is a good product and could be very useful if you needed one.
