Editor's review: This is a converter between DWG and DXF, also between versions of these formats. Active DWG DXF Converter lets you batch convert DWG Files into DXF files. Conversion from DXF to DWG is also possible. AutoCAD released several versions of these drawing files over time. This tool will let you convert drawings from a lower version to a more recent one, as well as vice versa. These versions span from the R2.6 to the latest AutoCAD 2011 versions. You do not need AutoCAD or a compatible program to be present in the machine you are using. Any drawing office faces this format related conversion needs. This is particularly important if you deal with drawings that have been generated over a period of time using these different versions. While the default GUI is easy for anyone, the tool also provides a command line interface so that experienced users can run large batches of conversions quite comfortably. The interface is simple and your actions start by choosing the type of conversion. If you want a conversion from DXF to DWG, DWG to DXF or a conversion between versions of the drawing files. Radio button options that you can simply click, depending on what you really need. For input, you can specify if you wanted just that single file or want the sub-directories to be included as well. Select a file path for input and output and also set what version of the format you needed. Thereafter it is a single button, single click operation.
