Acala DVD Ripper iPod PSP Converter Bundle is a software pack that consists of three separate tools designed for video processing - Acala DVD Ripper, Acala DivX to iPod and Acala AVI DivX MPEG XviD VOB to PSP. The tool is wrapped in a plain and simple-to-use interface. Videos can be imported into the file queue by using either the file browser or folder view ("drag and drop" is unsupported). It is possible to process multiple items at the same time. In the file list you can find out various information on each entry, such as the duration, start and end time (if you want to trim clips), along with the output name and target type. If you prefer the default settings, then you can directly start the conversion procedure by specifying the output directory and file type. Experienced users can tinker with the audio and video settings when it comes to the codec size, frequency, volume level, frame rate, quality and channel mode. Options can be restored to their default values. Unfortunately, you cannot create output profiles. Additionally, you can select the angle, audio track and subtitle stream, as well as specify the number of maximum threads and transfer videos to a PSP. Plus, you can preview clips in a built-in video player and split it by marking the start and end position, as well as set Acala AVI DivX MPEG XviD VOB to PSP to keep the aspect ratio and to automatically turn off the computer when the job is done. The video conversion program uses a moderate amount of system resources to finish a task in reasonable time. It is very responsive and includes a help file. The output directory is automatically opened after conversion and the output videos have a fair image and sound quality. We have not come across any issues throughout our testing.
