Abonsoft Image Compare Description

Abonsoft Image Compare allows you to spot both minor and major differences between two similar images. This useful software tool performs a fast pixel-to-pixel comparison process that reveals even the smallest differences. The results can be seen using any of the two modes available – mask and transparent – and can be then saved as a BMP image file. This image comparison tool supports most image file formats as input, including some of the best-known RAW image formats. Besides, its simple and intuitive one-window interface demands no expertise on your side, allowing you to start comparing images right away. However, as it does not count with batch comparison capabilities, I would not recommend it for a large number of comparison processes. Once you have loaded the suspect pair of images, you can use the program’s zooming capabilities for a closer look, and move around them – by dragging them with your mouse – looking for possible differences. You need to set at least one align point in each image for the program to perform an accurate comparison – just find one spot in both images that looks identical and click on them while the align point tool is active. This will largely improve the program’s pixel-to-pixel comparison process. Image Compare will show those areas where pixels do not match using the mode of your choice. One of them will shadow the identical parts (whose level of transparency can be easily modified) leaving the areas with unmatching pixels untouched. For very small areas I would advise you to use the Mask Mode instead, which offers a higher color contrast between both types of pixels.
