Aabel for Mac Description

A high performance and dynamic data analysis, statistics & charting application, utilizing AltiVec technology, and introducing a graphic switch between Quartz (for native PDF) and QuickDraw (for PICT collage), while using OpenGL for plotting and rotation of 3-D graphics. Pipeline architecture of Aabel allows real-time, two-way interaction between data sources and the visualization and data processing windows. It imports, analyzes, and graphs large datasets at an impressive speed, and provides native worksheets and a database metaphor for data storage and management. It has over 90 chart types with more than 200 styles of data representation, with flexible plot scales (linear, log-linear, log-log) and easy to use chart customizing tools. It includes diverse data import and high quality graphic export and provides native PDF support for graphic export, import, and clipboard. Aabel allows generating subsets of data by free-hand selections of histogram bins/scattered data points, and allows multidimensional, user defined filter criteria. Statistical methods include t-tests, F-test, Wilcoxon signed-rank test, Mann Whitney U-test, one-way ANOVA, two-way balanced ANOVA, Bland and Altman method, full Kaplan-Meier analysis and logrank test, PCA, factor analysis, cluster analysis, multiple regression, and PLS, as well as statistical charts (e.g., box and whisker, probability, survival, Voronoi, etc.). It includes many utilities such as QC of numerical data, pre-defined units of weight and measures, cartographic coordinate transformations, text and table editors, error bars (symmetric and asymmetric) and curve fitting methods (pre-defined and user-defined/non-linear). Pre-defined linear regressions include X by Y, thru zero, major axis and density ellipse, and reduced major axis regression. What's new in this version: This is a maintenance update that includes a workaround for an import problem introduced in files written by Excel 2004, and a fix for a minor coordinate shift of graphic objects. It has expanded capabilities for categorical line charts, and includes a major overhaul of the user-defined regression handling.
