ABest AVI Video Converter is a simple-to-use program which allows you to encode video files with the AVI format to other extensions, such as MPEG, MOV, RM, WMV and FLV. The interface of the tool is simplistic and easy to navigate through. Video clips can be imported into the list by using the file browser only, since the "drag and drop" method is not supported. Batch processing is allowed. In the queue you can check out the source path, split span, frame size, output name and status of each video. So, all you have to do is establish the output destination and profile, in order to initiate the encoding task. But you can also configure audio and video settings regarding the frame rate, codec, size, bit rate, sample frequency rate and others. Additionally, you can enable ABest AVI Video Converter to automatically turn off the computer after conversion, preview clips in a small, built-in media player and take snapshots, remove an item from the list or clear the entire queue, and more. The video processing tool takes up a moderate-to-high amount of system resources, has a good response time, quickly finishes a task and manages to keep a good image and sound quality. We haven't come across any issues during our tests. However, we weren't able to access the help file (clicking the option didn't initialize anything) and you cannot configure the program's behavior (e.g. disable sound when hovering over buttons).
