The interface of the software application is based on a standard window where you can import a DVD clip by using only the folder view ('drag and drop' is not supported). It is not possible to process multiple DVD movies in a single session. The 'what you see is what you get' principle applies to A4 DVD Shrinker, since there are no other features except for the ones available through the main application window. In order to proceed with the shrinking task, all you have to do is adjust the size of the new DVD movie, and establish the target folder, which can be either a location on the hard drive or a DVD disc. In addition, you can select the audio language and subtitle track. The straightforward tool takes a reasonable amount of time to finish a task, depending on the size of the respective DVD video. It uses a low amount of system resources and has a good response time. We have not come across any problems during our tests; A4 DVD Shrinker did not freeze, crash or pop up error dialogs.
