16k Description

There are several approaches to writing keystroke loggers (system wide hooks, kernel-based, passive monitoring). 16k demonstrates a simple passive approach and is intended for educational purposes only. It logs pressed keys, mouse clicks, and the active window during that input event as well as time and state in an effort to correct common input issues. 16k will save all the logged events to a CSV file, in the same location as the executable. Note: Some antivirus and antispyware programs flag 16k as being infected/malware, although the application is perfectly safe and does not pose a threat to your system. This is called a 'false positive'. The term false positive is used when antivirus software wrongly classifies an innocuous ( inoffensive ) file as a virus. The incorrect detection may be due to heuristics or to an incorrect virus signature in a database.
