This application requires an iWitness subscription.iWitness is designed to help protect you and those you care about by providing a virtual witness to any situation that feels threatening. By capturing audio and video at the outset of an incident and sending it to a secure server that can be made available to law enforcement, iWitness functions as the ultimate deterrent to crime – clearly indicating to the perpetrator that they’ve been caught in the act and should stop immediately. How it worksAny time you’re about to enter a potentially threatening environment, simply arm iWitness. A blinking light will immediately begin to emanate from the phone, signaling to you and any potential perpetrator that your phone is armed. When you feel endangered, touch your phone’s screen. This will cause three things to happen automatically; -Your phone starts capturing audio and video of the scene and sends it to a secure server that law enforcement can access, but perpetrators cannot-A steady light is emitted by your phone-Your GPS coordinates are recorded and transported along with the audio/video.If the incident escalates, touch the screen once more and the following happens.-911 is called-A text/email is sent to as many as six contacts previously authorized by you, alerting them of the incident-A loud alarm is sounded by your phoneNo other personal safety device matches the unique feature set of iWitness.
