ppfilter Description

ppfilter is a personal firewall for Mac OS X ppfilter is a personal free and open source firewall for Mac OS X.ppfd (personal packet filter daemon) is a per program configurable packet filter. It uses divert sockets to redirect packets from the packet filter to itself, inspects the packets, determines which program is responsible for sending the packet, then looks through its rules and finally either drops the packet or passes it back to the firewall.The format used for the rules file is described in doc/RULE_FORMAT. How toinstall and use ppfd is described in doc/USAGE.
