Open source and easy to use NNTP server developed in Java jNewsGate is a plugin based NNTP server written in Java intended to fetch different news-like content (RSS feeds, web forums, news sites) and provide it to a NNTP news reader. What's New in This Release: · Added NNTP command "DATE" · added Path: header to postings · improved text returned by NNTP command "HELP" · added a way to build md5 hashes from the command line · made the data directory configurable · changed the Hash interface to allow hashes that use salt · Fixed bugs in the Google plugin (it reused article numbers, HTML error messages returned for output=gplain were not properly detected and clearing the group was not properly "refreshed"). · Disabled caching article counters for the LIST command (since some news readers *do* use them for more than preview...) · Google articles fetched by Message-ID can optionally be stored into the jnewsgate.google.groups group. · added the NEWGROUPS command
