iCal2iChat-SMS - Send the name of appointments to your cellphone as a text message Run as an iCal alarm, the iCal2iChat-SMS script will send an SMS message to your cell phone through iChat. Be sure to read the Read Me for configuration instructions. iCal2iChat-SMS, when configured correctly and set to run as the alarm for an appointment in iCal, will send the name of appointments to your cellphone as a text message. Because of some AppleScript support issues with iCal, there are two caveats. The main caveat is that you must set the calendar entry for the time you want the SMS message sent, not for the appointment time. The second caveat is that you must set the alarm time to "0 minutes before". When the iCal2iChat-SMS script is run, it has 59 seconds to sift through all your events and calendars, find the event occurring right now, and send the message.So if you're a heavy iCal user with a dozen calendars stuffed with hundreds of events, you may need to create a calendar just for this script. (If you do, it can not be nested in a calendar group; it must be a top-level calendar.)IMPORTANT: The alarm MUST be set to go off 0 (zero) minutes before the event or the script WILL NOT work.NOTE: You can find detailed installation and usage instructions in the ReadMe file that comes with the downloaded archive.
