TerminalDecorator Description

Colors Terminal windows with different color schemes according to the hosts you are connected to TerminalDecorator is a free script that colors Mac OS X Terminal windows with different color schemes according to the hosts you are connected to via ssh.TerminalDecorator is a useful cue when trying to find a terminal connected to a particular machine, especially when using Expose ?. TerminalDecorator has been tested on Mac OS X 10.3 and 10.4.Installation and Configuration To use TerminalDecorator, you need to run it instead of ssh (TerminalDecorator will automatically call ssh after it has colored the Terminal window). One way to do this is: 1. Copy the TerminalDecorator script to a suitable place on your system, for example: ∼/Library/Scripts 2. Alias ssh in your shell to TerminalDecorator, for example in your .bashrc: alias ssh=/Users/username/Library/Scripts/TerminalDecorator After installing the script, set up the mapping between the hosts and color schemes by editing the TerminalDecorator script. Instructions for doing this are in the comments of the script.RunningTerminalDecorator expects the same arguments as the command-line ssh and is compatible with the full range of ssh command-line arguments. If you’ve aliased ssh to TerminalDecorator, all you need to do is use ssh as normal.
