Status Item Checker is a simple to use OS X utility that will allow you to quickly test and compare how different status item icons look in your Mac's menu bar.With Status Item Checker, you're able to compare up to 3 status items at the same time. You can simply drag a status item image to field 1,2 or 3 and the status items in the menubar will update instantly. If you only want to test 1 item, you can delete the other status items. In the preferences you can also enable "Highlighted Mode" for each item. So you can see how the items will look in your application.NOTE: To buy Status Item Checker via the App Store an Apple account is required.
