Free and open source crutch editor for your Mac Scribe is a cross-platform crutch editor, programmed completely in Java. Scribe should work on major platforms like Mac OS X, Windows, Linux etc. Here are some key features of "Scribe": · Export your crutch to HTML, plain text, wave/mp3 files (espeak and lame required for the latter two). · Topic-based note taking, effectively organizing your notes. · Save your work and come back to it later. · Update notification, you'll always know when there's a new version available. · Upload your crutch to an FTP server. · A simple and easy to use interface. · Topic list importing/exporting. · Sort-topics alphabetically. · A built in help manual. Requirements: · Java 1.6 or later What's New in This Release: · Import/Export list feature. · Sort topics alphabetically. · Fixed bug where changing topics did nothing. · Now uses character arrays to store text. · Now preserves formatting when you export/save. · Filename extensions. · Rename topics feature. · Add Topic button and textfield are gone, have been relocated to the topic menu. Status bar in place of it. · Minor bug fixes and optimization tweaks, functions are more reliable now. · Anything else I forgot.
