ScreamerNet Controller Description

ScreamerNet Controller - Controller for Lightwave's ScreamerNet ScreamerNet Controller is a replacement for Lightwave's network render controller. It allows for dynamic adding and removing of nodes and scenes, and allows you to continue to work in Lightwave while your batch scenes are being rendered. It has error checking procedures to make sure your render completes successfully. It also allows for mixed platform rendering - controlling both Mac and PC nodes. You can modify the output information and scene range when you load a scene, and it will check to make sure that the frames on disk are not newer than the scene file, allowing you to re-render a selection of frames by simply throwing them away prior to re-rendering. It outputs a log file so you can see what machine is rendering what, and this log file can be imported into a spreadsheet or other third party render log analysis tool. There are many more features, for a complete detailed list please visit our website. There are four levels of registration, the first level is free and allows the controller to control one node, which is perfect for batching scenes while you continue to work in Lightwave. Please see website for further pricing information. What's New in This Release:Fixed a bug that would cause an occassional crash when loading a saved frame queueFixed the scene prediction calculation to be more accurate. Before it actually caluclated the scene's completion time backwards; if all your CPUs were similar in speed or were balanced, it would be fairly accurate, but if you had more slow CPUs than fast or vice versa it would be horribly wrong it its prediction. Now it calculates it much more accurately.Fixed a bug that allowed sorting of the scene queue (sorting a column did not actually do anything. To re-arrange the scenes in the queue just drag and drop them in the new order)Revised the frame checking algorithm so that it correctly identifies frames that are outside of the numeric range (i.e. frame_1000.jpg when the range is frame_xxx.jpg).Requirements:Lightwave 3D 7+ (earlier versions may work but have not been tested. It has been successfully tested with Lightwave 3D version 8).
